Enhanced segregation targeting
Bega had some recycling capabilities prior to the agreement with Mil-tek, but they weren’t very specialized or concentrated. However, with Mil-tek’s assistance, the business was able to place balers in particular locations to better target and sort its garbage on the premises. As a result, there was no longer a need for a third party to recycle and sort the waste.
There were 56% fewer pickups
Bega has taken charge of its waste and how it is treated since installing these balers. Additionally, the business has improved on-site bin utilization and been able to lower the monthly pickup requirement. In fact, the business was able to cut the number of pickups it made by 56%, saving money and lowering the number of trucks moving about and carbon emissions related to waste transportation.
